About the foundation

Vickie’s Angel Foundation is based out of New Cumberland, PA. They are a non-profit with a mission of helping families fighting cancer who have difficulties paying their bills during the challenging times of undergoing cancer treatments. Their goal is to take away the financial worry from the family, providing a temporary bridge that allows them to focus entirely on beating their disease. Vickie’s Angel Foundation was started by Mickey Minnich, his family and friends in 2003, after the passing of Mickey’s wife Vickie Minnich. The foundation was named ‘Vickie’s Angel’, after Vickie Minnich, and because the song Angel Symphony had a profound effect on Vickie and Mickey Minnich during her 5-month battle with cancer.

Helping families

MCC York started to donate to Vickie’s Angel Foundation in 2019 at the recommendation of one of their team members who directly benefited from the organization. The MCC York Community Outreach Committee feels strongly about contributing to organizations that have a direct and immediate impact on their community. The Vickie’s Angel Foundation funds go directly to the families affected.
