The label for A La Naturale began where the wine begins: outside, in the quiet of the vineyard, listening. We wanted an artwork that wasn’t placed on the bottle so much as grown into it — a piece that could hold the same patience, humility, and ancient rhythm that guide this wine from clay to glass.

Greer Tappert, an artist inspired by nature, created a palette reflecting the vineyard through seasonal colours: the damp, mossy greens of winter rain; the luminous golds and straw hues of late summer; the iron-tinged reds and umbers of weathered soil; the dusk-blues that settle across the Gorge. At the heart of her work is a biodynamic vortex, symbolising the natural processes in winemaking.

The artwork’s form follows the squat, amphora-inspired bottle, with a focus on balance and stillness rather than ornamentation. Collaborating with MCC Labels, every detail was carefully managed to ensure the label’s integrity, quiet typography, and tactile finish.

Each bottle is hand-filled at Mt Bera estate, making the label an extension of the wine itself — a thoughtful reflection of season, craft, and nature. A La Naturale: a label that reconnects with origins and lets the wine and its story speak for themselves.
