The ‘Sakura’ festival of cherry blossoms is an annual event held in Cowra, NSW. This celebration commemorates the relationship between the local community and Japan, which began with the prisoner of war camp that accommodated Japanese prisoners of war during World War II. The Sakura label pays homage to this relationship and the iconic Japanese cherry blossom, a moment of joy, rebirth, hope and purity.
Digital printing on Bright White Felt paper, which contains 30% post-consumer waste, aligns with Windowrie’s sustainable practices. This paper serves as an ideal canvas for the bold yet delicate design, featuring gold foil and gloss High Build highlights on the cherry blossom illustration.
